This week, Agape staff and volunteers honored a special individual in our care: Victor S.

Agape volunteer military veterans Bob and Gary, together with RN Karlie, social worker Susan and I gathered to recognize Victor’s service to our country. He served in the US Army 1960 through 1963, most of that time stationed in Germany where he operated teletype equipment at an Engineering HQ.

Victor was touched by receiving the certificate and pin as the song,  “The Army Goes Rolling Along” was played. Bob, Gary and Victor shared a few of their stories with the group. What an honor and privilege to be there to say, “Thank you for your service, sir!”

Thank you Bob and Gary for providing the camaraderie and connection only fellow veterans can provide.
