At Agape, our care teams work together to make each day as good and meaningful as possible for the individuals and families we serve. Volunteers often play a significant part in that effort, including the birthday celebration of our beautiful patient Barbara this past Sunday, December 12th. Volunteers Diane Popper and Susan Randolph (along with Barbara’s sister and brother-in-law), joined me for this event.
Castle Rock’s Backyard Bakeries donated a beautiful and delicious chocolate cake (Barbara’s favorite). What we didn’t know is that her favorite color is purple. Yet, in a stroke of kismet, purple reigned as the color of the day! The cake was generously adorned with purple flowers. Barbara’s birthday hat was purple. And the adorable stuffed animal she received as a gift was (yes), also purple. The birthday girl was all smiles. Happy Birthday, Barbara, and warm thanks to Backyard Bakeries and all who contributed to making this occasion truly special.
