Here for our patients, family and community through the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak
Agape is committed to the wellness and protection of the patients and families we serve, our employees, volunteers and our Denver community. The following are measures we are taking related to our services and Colorado-specific information and resources from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE).
Hospice And Palliative Care
Agape will continue to provide hospice and palliative care for patients and support for their families. Our teams are continuing to serve patients in private residences and assisted living/ nursing facilities. We are giving strict attention to facility protocols and restrictions in place in order to protect the vulnerable senior population and continue providing excellent care according to best practices.
At the same time, we are mobilized to respond to changes and impact on the communities we serve and are working closely with the CDC, CMS and other state and local health officials to respond accordingly to COVID-19.
We have implemented screening for staff and volunteers. Our volunteers are now providing visits and services to our patients and family, both in person and virtual. We are honoring each person's level of comfort and complying with facility requests, even as they change.
Agape will continue to follow CDC and Colorado-specific guidelines and adapt as this situation unfolds. Our hearts go out to those families who have been impacted by the virus, and those who have lost loved ones as a result of COVID-19. We are here to help through palliative and hospice care, to help manage symptoms and provide support, and bereavement services. Call 720-482-1988 with questions or to request a care consultation.
